Hi Carolin,
As much as I understand there are participation criteria, they might not just apply to a job title but more to a role.
There are several projects I'm involved in which are not related to my job title, but they are part of my role as I'm an ex Lumen EMEA. Let me give you couple examples:
* Colt has recently deployed additional IP infrastructures in Porto, I need to make sure we have a path to grow with our peers locally.
* Colt is deploying new IP infrastructures in Athens, and I need to make sure we anticipate adequate peering setup locally.
* Colt plans to leverage the former Lumen IP infrastructures in Johannesburg to trigger new business activities, I need to make sure our legacy peering setup can support it and potentially discuss upgrades.
Whatever your decision is we will respect it 100%, however looking at some participants below, I'm surprised to see those same criteria were not applied, unless I'm missing something...
Best regards,
Emmanuel

Dear Bettina,
Thank you for the clarification and for the additional context regarding Emmanuel’s role.
We certainly understand the relevance of his Business Development responsibilities and the potential value of engaging with Internet Exchanges in the context of new PoPs and market expansion.
However, the EPF has specific participation criteria, and unfortunately Emmanuel’s current role does not meet the criteria for participation. Therefore, we would not be able to approve his attendance at this stage.
We very much appreciate your understanding, and thank you again for reaching out and for providing the additional information.
Best regards,

I double checked with Emmanuel and he is in fact in charge of Business Development, looking for partnerships to open new PoPs in new markets. The EPF provides an excellent forum for discussions with Internet Exchanges, for a mutual benefit, so we feel he’s the right person to join. I put him in copy for any specific questions you may have.

Hi Bettina,
Thanks for letting us know.
We noticed that Emmanuel’s current job title is Regional Sales Director, Strategic Alliances.
In this context, we would like to refer to our attendee policy for EPF:
“The EPF is a networking event for the peering community, not a commercial event. As such, any commercial/sales personnel from the participating networks are discouraged from registering.”
We therefore wanted to flag this and kindly ask you to consider whether Emmanuel’s role is in line with the attendee policy.
Thanks very much for your understanding and cooperation.

We already have four registrations from Colt, which is the maximum number of registrations we allow per network/company:
Simon Barlow
Ankit Gupta
Marjorie Roos
Mark Borchardt
We are still awaiting payment from Marjorie and Mark. They have already received the necessary payment instructions.
As we have reached the maximum number of registrations for Colt, splitting or sharing passes is unfortunately not an option. We kindly ask for your understanding that we need to apply this rule consistently and cannot make an exception in this case.
Thank you for your understanding, and please let us know if you have any questions.

please disregard my registration! I was just trying to figure out how invoicing will be done since two of my Colt colleagues are already registered and I was hoping to get to a page specifying payment terms once I’ve entered my contact info. In fact we are looking into purchasing one or two additional tickets for my colleagues in Paris. Can you please advise on these points:
* Which organization will issue the invoice?
* What are the payment terms / timelines?
* Can we pay via wire transfer?
* Is it possible to split a pass by having one colleague attending the first two days and another one on the last day?
Many thanks and warm regards

by Carolin Geib
Hello Isabel,
Thank you for your message and for sharing some background on your new role.
We certainly understand your interest in attending EPF and appreciate the
importance of building relationships within the peering community.
Unfortunately, the maximum number of participants for your organisation has
already been reached, and we are not able to increase the allocation or make
an exception.
You may, however, wish to discuss this with the other registered
participants from your company. If one of them is willing to give up their
place, we would be happy to transfer the registration to you instead.
We hope you understand and look forward to welcoming your colleagues to EPF
2026.

Hello,
I understand that the maximum number of participants from our
company(AS12956) has already been reached. However, I would like to kindly
ask whether there might be any possibility for me to attend.
I have recently taken on the role of Interconnection Manager, and I am
extremely interested in participating in this event. I consider it a unique
opportunity to establish meaningful connections within the peering community
and to start building the strong industry relationships that are such an
important part of my new role. Given my recent transition into this
position, I see this event as essential for accelerating my integration into
the peering ecosystem, learning from industry experts, and strengthening
relationships with current and potential partners.
I completely understand the participation limits, but if there is any
flexibility, I would be very grateful if you could consider my request.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Best regards,
Isabel Martín-caro Lopez

Hi Carolin,
As much as I understand there are participation criteria, they might not just apply to a job title but more to a role.

Best regards,
Carolin

Hi Carolin,
I double checked with Emmanuel and he is in fact in charge of Business Development, looking for partnerships to open new PoPs in new markets. The EPF provides an excellent forum for discussions with Internet Exchanges, for a mutual benefit, so we feel he’s the right person to join. I put him in copy for any specific questions you may have.
Warm regards
Bettina

Hi Bettina,
Thanks for letting us know.
Best regards,
Carolin

Hi Carolin,
As Mark Borchardt canceled his registration, Emmanuel would like to attend:
Emmanuel Arnould
Regional Sales Director, Strategic Alliances
Colt Technology Services, 23-27 rue Pierre Valette, 92240 Malakoff, France.
He’s joined Colt from Lumen (AS 8220), could we register him for free? Otherwise what would be the easiest way to arrange sign-up and in particular payment? See also my previous questions below.
Thanks so much for your support, warm regards

Hi Bettina,
I hope you are doing well.
Best regards,
Carolin

Hi EPF Team,
please disregard my registration!
Bettina

Btw, do we have a maximum capacity for the event? If so, we should prioritize customers with tech profiles.

He previously worked for Colt, so considering the revised participation criteria, I would lean towards not approving his participation.

They get 50 guest tickets and would let him in if he had an organisation being an Interconnection manager
But I question who he will be representing, he cant just have a blank badge?
I say he can come, he just needs a company name with an ASN.
Best wishes,
Holly
