Hi all,
here is my suggestion for the reply to Aaron. Let me know if this works for you or if I should add anything.
-----------------------------------------
Aaron,
Thank you for your message.
To clarify, 6Connect is indeed an AMS-IX customer, and AS8038 is still peering. However, the relevant entity for the EPF attendance qualification is 6Connect, not Hilco.
You may participate in the EPF, but only under the company name 6Connect. Hilco itself does not peer, and therefore cannot qualify as the peering entity for EPF participation.
Unfortunately, the colleagues from Hilco (Giulia and Colin, cannot participate in the EPF. In addition to being affiliated with Hilco, their current job functions are not related to peering or interconnection, which is a requirement for participation.
The acquisition itself is therefore not the reason for the change in qualification. The key point is that EPF attendance is tied to the peering entity and the attendee’s role/function in relation to peering.
For further clarification, you can also refer to the EPF Attendee Policy on the EPF website which outlines the applicable participation criteria.
I hope this clarifies the situation.
Best regards,
the EPF Orga Team

Yes, he should be registered as 6Connect.
