Dear Inga, Ben, Mike, and Rob historically, the EPF organisers AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX and Netnod have done a so-called IXP Update at the beginning of the event [0]. Altogether, there is a 20 minutes slot, giving each of you 5 minutes to tell the audience what's breaking new. Please coordinate with each other as either all or none of you is presenting something. Hi Arnold, Karin will present the Netnod update (5 mins) on the Monday morning session.
From our side, I have to say we don't agree with this sudden change of direction on the CEO updates. Your suggestion that either all or none of the IXPs give updates on Monday morning seems to have bypassed the other members of the EPF-PC. If an IXP does not want to give their update, that should not prevent the other IXPs from giving an update from their region. So I respectfully request we dispense with your suggestion, and continue to schedule the IXP updates as planned. If an IXP chooses not present, it won't affect the agenda in any negative way and we will just go to the first break a few minutes early.
