IXP Update at EPF 2026

Dear Inga, Ben, Mike, and Rob
historically, the EPF organisers AMS-IX, DE-CIX, LINX and Netnod have
done a so-called IXP Update at the beginning of the event [0].
Altogether, there is a 20 minutes slot, giving each of you 5 minutes to
tell the audience what's breaking new.
Please coordinate with each other as either all or none of you is
presenting something. Please respond asap, but not later than 2026-09-09
10:00 UTC.

Dear Carolin, thank you for your message, however, the criteria remain unclear to me, and perhaps I am not fully understanding them.
You mentioned that the only exceptions for sales roles are speakers or sponsors, yet from the list I identified two examples of individuals who are neither speakers nor sponsors, are not employed in those capacities, and are not even peering contacts, and who have still been registered for this event while I have been declined despite having participated in the last two years without any complaints:
Bora Daja, who is our account at Zayo, and Dylan Carver, the Head of Sales at AFR-Telecom.
Despite my clear interest in participating, I would appreciate further clarification so I can better understand the criteria being applied.

Dear EPF,
I’m sad to receive such email that I disagree as I did participate last 2 years in Vienna and Bucharest, and it was very interesting. Despite my official title of Sales VP I’m an engineer and have an active role in the company in terms of peering decisions and new routes.
I also see in the attendees list always a few sales directors, CEO, Managing director, Business development, etc that I remember to see while looking to the attendees so not clear at all why I have been declined this year while I was accept in the last 2 years.
Please reconsider as I do want to participate.

Thanks so much for re-evaluating the attendance of Emmanuel, we appreciate that he is welcome to join!
Indeed he will have to settle charges via credit card. I checked internally whether “London Internet Exchange Trading Limited” is a registered vendor in our systems and this is not the case (only “London Internet Exchange Limited”). Arranging vendor set-up within such a short turnaround is too risky, we would need input from LINX and ensure rapid payment.

As much as I understand there are participation criteria, they might not just apply to a job title but more to a role.
There are several projects I'm involved in which are not related to my job title, but they are part of my role as I'm an ex Lumen EMEA. Let me give you couple examples:
* Colt has recently deployed additional IP infrastructures in Porto, I need to make sure we have a path to grow with our peers locally.
* Colt is deploying new IP infrastructures in Athens, and I need to make sure we anticipate adequate peering setup locally.
* Colt plans to leverage the former Lumen IP infrastructures in Johannesburg to trigger new business activities, I need to make sure our legacy peering setup can support it and potentially discuss upgrades.
Whatever your decision is we will respect it 100%, however looking at some participants below, I'm surprised to see those same criteria were not applied, unless I'm missing something...

We noticed that Emmanuel’s current job title is Regional Sales Director, Strategic Alliances.
In this context, we would like to refer to our attendee policy for EPF:
“The EPF is a networking event for the peering community, not a commercial event. As such, any commercial/sales personnel from the participating networks are discouraged from registering.”
We therefore wanted to flag this and kindly ask you to consider whether Emmanuel’s role is in line with the attendee policy.

We already have four registrations from Colt, which is the maximum number of registrations we allow per network/company:
Simon Barlow
Ankit Gupta
Marjorie Roos
Mark Borchardt
We are still awaiting payment from Marjorie and Mark. They have already received the necessary payment instructions.
As we have reached the maximum number of registrations for Colt, splitting or sharing passes is unfortunately not an option. We kindly ask for your understanding that we need to apply this rule consistently and cannot make an exception in this case.

please disregard my registration! I was just trying to figure out how invoicing will be done since two of my Colt colleagues are already registered and I was hoping to get to a page specifying payment terms once I’ve entered my contact info. In fact we are looking into purchasing one or two additional tickets for my colleagues in Paris. Can you please advise on these points:
* Which organization will issue the invoice?
* What are the payment terms / timelines?
* Can we pay via wire transfer?
* Is it possible to split a pass by having one colleague attending the first two days and another one on the last day?
